Quick answer

Measure the water you buy, process a small batch and test the result before selling. Old tutorials promising a fixed purity or profit need checking against the 1.0 updates.

Check the patch before following an old shopping list

Update 1.0.0.2 reworked purifier logic without publishing a replacement formula. Its water equipment reductions, followed by 1.0.0.5, make older setup budgets unreliable. These are patch-listed prices, not a guarantee of every shop offer.

Make your first batch easy to verify

The older community guide starts with a water sign, pitcher, filter and testing supplies. Its useful habit is testing again after treatment; its old purity and profit examples are not current guarantees. Use this recording checklist for your own run:

  1. Inspect one source container and write down its volume, measured quality and purchase cost.
  2. For a manual filtering trial, fit the Water Filter inside the Water Pitcher and pour in a small batch. Keep that batch separate.
  3. Measure the finished water before relabelling it or combining it with another purchase.
  4. Compare the final volume and actual selling offer with everything spent on that batch.

When the purifier result looks wrong

First compare like with like: the same input, equipment and game build. Change one thing at a time and keep the previous readings. This separates a treatment problem from a changed input or an outdated tutorial.

Do not spend your remaining credits repeating an old recipe solely because a guide promises 100%. The official rework notice does not establish a universal purity ceiling, treatment count or guaranteed yield.

Check the sale, then calculate the margin

Remove the Water Filter before offering its Water Pitcher to a buyer; 1.0.0.5 added an explanation for this refusal. If another container is rejected, record the customer's message instead of assuming the same cause.

Use the water calculator to compare mixed volumes, entered purity values and costs. It is a mathematical planning tool: it does not simulate purifier chemistry, establish in-game quality tiers or promise a buyer's price. Save an observed sale price before planning a larger purchase.

Questions & answers

Will filtering always produce pure water?

Do not assume so. Test your output; the current official notes do not support a universal result for every input and setup.

Why does a buyer refuse my filtered pitcher?

Check the removable filter first, then read the refusal message. Diagnose that specific sale before processing the water again.
