Use the letter as your deadline marker

The documented window includes the letter day and the next two days. Reporting Serpico or satisfying the request can close it earlier. Treat the letter as something to act on that night, rather than postponing food purchases until a later story visit.

Make a short checklist: letter received, remaining nights, calories prepared, delivery confirmed. It keeps the deadline separate from whatever other shop tasks are demanding attention.

Put the food in the location, not just in your luggage

1. Read each food item's calorie display and pack enough eligible food for your planned delivery.
2. Enter the Dumping Grounds during the active window. Move the food from your backpack or pockets onto the ground.
3. Depart the location. This is the documented check for ground food; searching rubbish is not required for the hand-in.
4. Look for the enough-food notification and the night's record. Keep a separate total of confirmed deliveries if you split the food across nights.

Count calories, not visible stacks

The target concerns accumulated eligible calories, not 2,000 objects. Use the item's calorie value and quantity, then add the batches you actually delivered.

Arithmetic example only: if your current tooltip says 500 kcal per unit, four such units total 2,000 kcal. This is not a claim that a particular sandwich or ration always contains 500 kcal. Read your own items before spending money.

Check mode and access before troubleshooting calories

The newer reference describes a non-Endless storyline. It also records that Maimed removes normal Dumping Grounds access and that receiving the letter does not restore it; no alternative shop or courier hand-in is confirmed.

If access is available, check the deadline and ground placement first. If access is absent, buying more food cannot by itself resolve that missing route. Keep your scenario name with any bug report.
